In its modern facilities, located in the area of Bathra, just outside the town of Argos, the Danaon Gea winery produces famous quality wines that are highly appreciated by the wine-loving public. Dimitris Douros, with the help of excellent scientists (oenologists and agronomists), is currently producing the most important Greek varieties of the Peloponnesian vineyard (Moschofilero, Agiorgitiko Nemea, Moschato Patras, Roditis), along with the international varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, that have been recognized in recent years not only in the Greek but also in the international market.

A second-generation winemaker, Dimitrios Douros inherited the passion and the art of winemaking from his father Fotios Douros, who in 1976 began with very little capital and a great love to produce wine at a small winery in Dervenakia, Corinthia. Ten years later, that small winery was transported to its present facilities, and in 1998 it was modernized and expanded, handing over the tradition to the next generation. A fresh outlook, passion and attention to detail, combined with a skilled human workforce have been key factors in the transformation of the winery. By adopting modern vinification and bottling techniques, new varieties -mainly from the Peloponnesian vineyard- and expanding the sales network the Danaon Gea winery has been on a steadily rising course ever since.

Quality assurance, according to modern requirements (it has ISO 22000-2005 quality management certification) combined with many years of experience, dedication, know-how and passion brought the reward which is none other than the ever-increasing demand. This acceptance, along with our undying love for good wine, is what keeps us going, always true to our values and vision.
